Nursing Homes
January 21, 2008You know i miss my grandmother so much. Here in the Philippines, we call our grandma’s as "Lola". She will be celebrating her 95th birthday if she is still alive right now. She died when I was in my first year as an Information Technology Education student. You know when she reached the age of 80 till 88 she was doing fine. She even didn’t like that we will be serving her and attending to her needs because she said she can manage. But when she transferred to my Uncle’s House she become sickly and more senile. Maybe because she is not getting any younger.
During those times, I was away because I was still in Cebu and when I went back here in Davao I become a working student so I could not visit her often. That’s what I regret most the more, when I learned that she was not well taken care of by my relatives. They could have let her stayed in a nursing home if they don’t want to take good care of her. She couldn’t stay in us because both my brother and father are also sick. NUrsing homes is a good institution because I know they will be taken care of.
